PERSONALISED GROWTH & SUPPORT PROGRAMME

At Muddy Steps, We Offer An Intensive Therapeutic Programme Of Care For Young People Who Have Suffered Trauma And Adversity And Are An Crisis.

OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

At Muddy Steps, we support young people who are in crisis and who may be considered at significant risk to themselves or others. Many have been affected adverse childhood experiences and may still be experiencing symptoms of trauma, struggling with healthy attachments, experiencing physical, emotional abuse, and/or neglect. Using trauma-informed principles, we aim to support young people in regulating their emotions and behaviours that have been shaped by traumatic experiences. These often result in maladaptive coping mechanisms as a form of self-preservation. Our focus is to empower young people to transition towards adaptive strategies that promote emotional safety, trust, and resilience. By integrating evidence-based interventions, we encourage self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive decision-making, ultimately fostering a sense of security and well-being.

This assessment informs an individualised care plan that ensures the right level of therapeutic, educational, and social support.
